Vignerons de L’Enclave - France

Located in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône, the Vignerons de l’Enclave offers a wide range of the Rhône Valley, in line with the expectations of the most discerning consumers. With vineyards nestled at the foot of the razor-edged Dentilles de Montmarail, the Vignerons de l’Enclave hold the northermost vineyards in the Vaucleuse, and at relatively high elevations.

The climate is typical of Provence – sunny warm days, cool nights, and the influence of the Mistral- the cool northwesterly wind that blows through the Rhone and Provence. Working largely with Grenache and Syrah, the Vignerons produce a range of wines from both the Enclave (Cotes du Rhone and CdR Villages) and from other appellations nearby (Gigondas, Chateauneuf and others).

It is aromatic, with a complex nose of raspberries, plums, spice, and petrichor. The palate is concentrated yet sophisticated, with fresh black fruits supported with notes of leather and forest floor. The 15 month aging in oak bestows full, soft tannins that are balanced by a mineral freshness.

Enjoy this wine by itself, or enhance your dining experience by pairing it with roast meat or rich Indian dishes. Serve at 16°C-19°C.

This 10 month aged wine from the fabled Gigondas AOC has an intense nose dominated by dark fruits, berries, sweet spice, and liquorice. Cranberry, prune and cherry notes dominate the palate, and malolactic fermentation and oaking give it a velvety soft, generous mouthfeel. This is a complex and award winning wine appreciated by sommeliers world over for its flavour, structure and long clove finish.

Best enjoyed at 16°C-18°C with roasted and grilled meat, mature cheese, or by itself.
